Responsibilities:
Daily operation of the labeling machines, including developing an expert knowledge in their mechanisms and in their operation.
Maintaining inventory of labeling materials, raw and finished product, and communicating with production planners to make sure sufficient quantities of finished product are on hand for production orders.
Loading labels into the machine.
Observing the machine during production to make sure that the label is being processed through the machine effectively and efficiently.
Managing the process to make sure that there is minimal waste/loss of labels during the production process.
Observing personnel on the labeling line to make sure the accuracy and quality of the labels are developed.
Verifying the raw labeling inventory is maintained in proper quantities and stored appropriately.
Verifying accuracy of labels produced with the Quality Assurance Department to maintain compliance with all food safety standards and regulations as well as customer requirements.
Verifying accuracy of labels produced with the Production Manager to ensure requirements for production runs have been met.
Counting the number of labels produced, calculating the waste and explaining any discrepancies which exceed the normal expectations for waste.
Process any orders through the inventory systems as required.
Maintain and repair equipment as necessary.
